The island cabinetry has a polished Cararra marble top and includes jewelry and scarf drawers, a lighted purse cabinet and extra deep drawers for folded items. General contracting services were by Robb Perlewitz, RP Custom Homes. The lighting was designed by Steve Klein, Klein Lighting.

Existing wall cabinets were retrofitted with new storage systems inside and new crystal knobs outside.

The dresser was custom designed to fit the opening between the wall cabinets and under the window. The decorative painting technique included gilded accents and a scroll motif stencil on the top of the dresser. The vintage chandelier was restored with a new finish and crystals. Installed on each window are dotted Swiss sheers and drapery panels trimmed with leading edge fringe trim.

The internally lit shoe cabinet was designed to hold 9 pairs of boots and 90 pairs of shoes.

The room has a dedicated dressing area with a full length mirror lit separately with wall sconces. Decorative crystal pendants highlight the island.
